Looking Back on June at the Women’s Center

June was a busy and rewarding month at the Women’s Center. We welcomed community members into our space for a range of programs that offered connection, support, and a bit of fun along the way.

Yoga & Knit Night

Yoga classes continued to provide a relaxed, welcoming space for movement and mindfulness. Meanwhile, Knit Night brought together folks of all skill levels to work on projects, share tips, and catch up over tea and yarn.

After School Club

Our After School Club started and we’re so proud of the teens who continue to participate and grateful to the guardians who support their involvement. From group discussions to creative activities, we are so excited to see what this group becomes.

We started out with creating summer vision boards to set the vibe for our summer together!

After School club we be taking place every Thursday at 1pm over the summer and we still have some spots left. If you know a teen who would be interested, click here to fill out the sign up form and we’ll be in touch!

National Indigenous Peoples Day Craft Night

To mark National Indigenous Peoples Day, we hosted a seal skin red dress keychain craft night in partnership with IOC and the Indigenous Service Centre. It was a meaningful evening that brought people together to reflect, create, and learn.

Looking Ahead

Thanks to everyone who joined us in June. We’re looking forward to another month of community programs in July — check out our events calendar to see what’s coming up.
